No Rest for the Weary

One of my hopes in starting this blog was that it would give me incentive to play with some of my neglected little ones more.  Lyla, my FL LF Lishe has been sorely neglected since she came to live with me. I bought both open eye and sleeping faceplates when I ordered her to double the play value.  A few weeks ago, I decided it was time I put her sleeping face on to get some pics. Her adorable little dress was made by Robyn of Period Threads (link to her website in the sidebar).
What happens when you are trying to take a nap? The pets decide it is time to play.
Lyla must be really tired...…………………….despite Adso and Gypsy's efforts, she continues to doze on.

Siblings- Dollshe Angela and Owen

Just a couple of pics of Addie (Angela) and Mo (Owen) to show the differences in the Dollshe tan shades. Addie is pale tan pure resin and Mo is tan pure resin.  Not a huge difference. These were taken in natural light.
The pale tan has more "yellow" undertones, while the tan has more "red" undertones and is a little bit  of a richer color. I should have pulled in Tion, who is the Honey caramel brown resin. A photo op for another day. Aren't they cute?

Meet Mo- Dollshe Owen

I've had this little guy for quite a while, it just took me a little while to get him all together. He is Dollshe Owen, 8B Classic. I ordered him from BJDivas on 6 month lay a way, and had to wait almost 14 months for him to finally arrive...…….then I had to get him out for a face up. His face up is by Lyn Raftis, by the way.  It sure would be nice if Dollshe offered face up options like some of the other doll companies do. I'm going to call him Mo, short for Mowgli.
I had thought I'd like to keep him bald, but not sure if the gate release on the head cap will keep me from doing that as it is quite a bit lighter than the rest of him. He is the pure tan resin, by the way. It's a gorgeous color. I'll take some pics of him with his sister Addie ( Dollshe Angela ) later, who is in the pale tan pure resin.
He's a handsome lad, and you don't see too many of him around unfortunately. I suppose if Dollshe was a little easier to deal with , and actually shipped their product in a reasonable amount of time,  we would see more of them. He rounds out my wee Dollshe crew, so now I have at least one of each of the  Dollshe kid sculpts.

New Blog Thoughts- All About the Kids

I've been enjoying doing story telling through my other blog - " In the Glade", which focuses on my Iplehouse FID and Raccoon Doll sized dolls, and their adventures, that I thought it would be fun to do another blog that mainly focuses on my smaller sized dolls. ( In the Glade link can be found in the links in the sidebar if you are interested). My focus here in this blog will not be storytelling as with "In the Glade", but instead on photos and informational tidbits about the smaller sized child dolls.
I have acquired quite a few of the Dollshe kids, both through secondary market purchases and direct from Dollshe, and through BJDivas, and I love them. You don't seem to see too many of them around so I thought it might be fun to feature them (along with my Iplehouse BID and KID dolls here). Aislinn, my Rosa pictured above was my first little Dollshe but certainly not the last. I will do a character bio in the sidebar to list all the dolls and their info.
The little Dollshe girls are can be a bit hard to fit. Aislinn is wearing a MSD sized dress from Dollmore above. I have found that most times the MSD things fit fairly well through the body and if the item is not fitted through the waist, they are a good fit. Length can be an issue, depending on the style you are looking for for your Dollshe girls. My girls wear "period" inspired outfits, so something that is knee length on an MSD girl will work just right for my little Dollshe girls.
The dress above is also MSD sized. 6/7 wigs are what I use with all my Dollshe kids. As far as eyes go Aislinn is wearing Masterpiece eyes here. I believe they are cobalt size 10/11mm. Just a side note on my comment above regarding where I've purchased my Dollshe kids. I can highly recommend BJDivas as a source for Dollshe. They are a US based dealer for Dollshe product, along with several other doll lines, and they are super easy to work with. Their link can be found at the side of the page here.
