Because I'm Happy

While not a "child" doll as such, he is certainly a "wee" little thing.  I don't do a whole lot with my little Realpuki's, but they sure make me smile every time I walk by their little room boxes. I was able to acquire 5 of them before Fairyland decided to stop production on them. Pappi was a last minute impulse that I'm so glad I listened to.  I walked by him yesterday and he looked like he was dancing, so just had to take him out for some photos because he looked so cute.
The Happy song immediately sprung to mind.
Huh, because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Happy Monday to all, and hope Pappi could put a smile on your face as he always does mine.😍😍

Arabel and Aislinn

I bought KID Faye (who I have decided to call Arabel) with the idea that Aislinn could have a playmate, either a sister or a cousin.  I wasn't exactly sure how the aesthetic would work, as my KID Lonnie doesn't work as well with the Dollshe kids as I would like, but I noticed that Faye had 10mm eyes listed (instead of 12's like Lonnie has), so I took a chance. If she didn't look right with Aislinn she could always hang out with Nora, my Lonnie. This morning I took a few pics of Arabel with Aislinn and I have to say I think their aesthetic is going to work just fine. Of course when the little dolls come out, the pet dolls seem to always make an appearance as well. In this first picture both little girls are sitting on their haunches on the floor.
Close up of Boo and Adso, just because they're cute.
For the next couple of shots the girls are standing side by side flat footed on the floor. Their heights are very similar, with Aislinn coming in just a hair taller. Arabel's face is quite a bit rounder than Aislinn's, but their eye size is the same. They both wear size 6/7 wigs. Aislinn is Dollshe's fresh skin resin,  Arabel is Iple normal resin, which is quite a bit pinker. Of course Aislinn is quite a bit older than Arabel as well. Arabel is much slimmer through the torso than Aislinn.  Aislinn is wearing a gown from Dollmore sized for MSD's here and it fits her very well through the shoulders. Arabel's gown came from a Boyd's bear and it fits Arabel perfectly through the shoulders. I can get it on Aislinn, but it is really too tight for her.
A close up showing the girls in semi profile.
And a final parting shot showing them looking off in the distance in the other direction. In this shot, Aislinn  is actually sitting in the chair, while Arabel is standing in front of her on the floor, ergo the bigger height difference.

New Arrival- KID Faye

This little girl was a bit of an impulse purchase. I really loved the KID Faye sculpt when Iple first introduced it, but talked myself out of it because trying to clothe a boy in this size would be difficult for me, as I don't sew and I don't know anyone that does custom stuff for the KID size.  When Iple did their mid summer sale in July and had the limited sculpts available again I kept thinking Faye would make a cute little girl...……………..so the last day of the sale I ended up hitting the "buy" button for her. She just arrived today, and I think she does make an adorable girl. I love her.
I had a pair of 10mm Safrin eyes remaining in Emerald, which she has claimed. I always planned for her to be a blonde as well, so we tried on the Monique Paige wig in light blonde that I had bought with my LF Lishe in mind, but it didn't work out on Lishe. I love it on "Faye" (who really needs her own name).
She is adjusting and getting  to know some of the pets hanging around in the little ones corner.
Her little dress actually came from a Boyd's bear. It was a "Christening bear" I had. When my little Lonnie arrived several years ago I eyed up the bear and thought the gown might work for the KID size. Poor little bear has never gotten the gown back, lol! It's a perfect fit on the KID girls, even if I have to take the head off to get it on. I think she has won Adso over.

Ready for Bed

Just some old favorite shots of Sam in his Spampy froggie jammies, ready for bed. That little face just slays me every time I look at him.
Grabbing his favorite book for a bedtime story.
One last parting shot. He wants to know why he can't stay up just a little bit longer. How can you argue with  that little face?

The Last Days of Summer

As summer fades away, Sam (Littlefee Pipi) and Tudie (Littlefee Ante) enjoy just hanging out outside.  The LittleFee dolls really are so poseable I need to play with mine more. I actually took these pictures a couple of years ago, but I like them and just wanted to share them here.
Kids just being kids.
Aren't they adorable?

Getting Into Trouble

Some favorite pics of little Tion, he and Boo are both quite inquisitive and tend to go right for the "forbidden".
The trick is in not getting caught.

Watching Over You-Oggie

As I have mentioned in a previous post highlighting "Fergus", I love all things Outlander and have dolls in a couple of different sizes representing several different characters in the Outlander universe.
When I saw this little cutie, Dream Valley Ding,  I couldn't help but think of Rachel and Ian's Oggie.
There is just something about him that really appeals to me and draws me in...……...so much so that I have another little Ding on order in tan this time. I just love his little face.  He's wearing a "christening" gown previously owned by Tonner's Wee Patsy. I think Adso is fascinated by him too.

Some Hair for Mo

I found a wig that I thought might work for Mo, and it arrived this week. It is a Monique Brittany in off black/size 6/7. I think it suits him.
It's really hard to find a good African American wig that looks realistic for dolls in this size. All in all I like him in this better than his "bald" look.
I think the wig softens him a bit and makes him appear a bit younger than he appeared bald.

Two Sisters and a Cat

Boo (the cat) is always getting into things he has no business in, much to Andi's (Nora and Lydia's Nanny) dismay. If Andi finds him in her gathering basket he may be banned from the house.
So Nora goes about getting him out, and Lydia can't be left out.
The girls are both big animal lovers.
Crisis averted and Boo's house privileges are safe for another day.

Wee Fergus- Outlander Inspired

Inspired by my love of all things Outlander, the idea for wee Fergus in resin form came about after watching season 2 of the Outlander series on Starz. I thought how much the actor playing Fergus in the series resembled Dollshe's Robin. Weird how a doll lover's mind is always working the doll angle into things, lol! Shot below of Romann Berrux, who plays Fergus in S2 and a couple of episodes of S3. I had already shelled several of the other characters in the series (Jamie/Claire/Young Ian/Lord John), and thought young Fergus would be a fun addition.

Anyway, I talked to my friend Lyn, who does most all the painting on my dolls and she too could see the resemblance, so I ordered an Oriental Robin from Dollshe through BJDivas and settled in for the long wait. It took almost 14 months for him to arrive...………….and then I had a setback breaking my ankle, which postponed him going out for a face up. Finally a couple of weeks ago he arrived home.
The long wait gave me the opportunity to have his wig (Monique Bob in size 6/7, brown/black color) and his eyes ready. I was actually able to get the eyes before Jenny at Safrin stopped making her resin Safrin eyes. His eyes are 10mm SI Natural Icicle Safrin eyes. Doesn't he look like the actor?
I'm quite pleased at how he all come together. Eventually I'll get him some clothes similar to what Fergus wears in the show, but for now I'm just really pleased to have him home.  For other Outlander fans like me, as noted above, I have shelled some of the other characters in the series as well.  You can see them in my  Outlander albums  on my Flickr page linked in the sidebar.

Like Potato Chips- Dollshe Kid Musings

I don't know what it is about me and the Dollshe little kids, they are not the easiest size to fit as their size is really unlike any other small doll out there, but when I see one in need of a new home its hard for me to pass them by...………for me they are a bit like potato chips, can't just have one…….that is Robbie's story.
I already had Tion at home and both Fergus and Mo on order through BJDivas, so I certainly didn't "need" (don't you love how we throw that word around) another little boy, nor did I have a specific character in mind for one. I did however have a copper oriental Rosa, my  Rose (also adopted from a friend who decided to part ways with her), and I thought she could use a brother. I love the copper oriental resin, and he was a good price, so I adopted him.
I sent him off to my friend Lyn Raftis to give him a bit of a new look, and Robbie was born. He is pretty darn cute, isn't he? And he's quite different from my other boys. So far, he's making himself right at home. I need to get some photos of him with his Robin brothers, Tion and Fergus.
